NCTC Awarded Contract M 64/2015 — Improvement and Upgrading of Maliha Road (from Sheikh Khalifa Road, Phase 1, to Al Badee Interchange) by the Ministry of Public Works, valued at AED 174 Million

On 28 November 2015, National Contracting Company (NCTC) was awarded Contract M 64/2015 by the Ministry of Public Works for the Improvement and Upgrading of Maliha Road, extending from Sheikh Khalifa Road (Phase 1) to Al Badee Interchange, with a contract value of AED 174 Million. The scope of works includes the construction of diversion roads, the laying and compaction of subgrade, granular and asphaltic pavement layers, the installation of guard rails, and the construction of storm water drainage channels and ponds. It also covers the protection and relocation of existing utilities, the extension of ducts, and the installation of road furniture, signage and road markings. In addition, the works comprise the improvement and installation of electrical cables and the road lighting network, together with the maintenance of temporary traffic and pedestrian access through the construction zone.
