NCTC Awarded Contract R 1052 – Arjan Second Access Road, Dubai RTA

National Contracting (NCTC) has been awarded Contract R 1052 for the Arjan Second Access Road by the Government of Dubai, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). The scope of works comprises the construction of roads, including the widening of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road over a 0.60 km existing single access (8 m width) and a 0.45 km entry access (7 m single carriageway) towards the Arjan development, together with 3.0 m sidewalks on both sides. The works also include the provision of guard rails and rigid barriers, the relocation of existing road furniture (gantry, sign boards, barriers, guard rails and trees), and the construction of a storm water drainage system for the proposed road. In addition, the project covers protection works for existing potable water, sewerage rising mains, irrigation pipelines and telecom services (Etisalat and Du), the relocation of existing irrigation pipelines, and the laying of electrical cables and ducts.
