National Contracting delivered the comprehensive upgrade of the final stretch of the Masafi-Fujairah Road, reconstructing approximately 8.640 km of pavement to modern highway standards. The scope integrated new roundabouts, signalised intersections, and a fresh single carriageway alongside drainage, lighting, and road furniture works. Completed within an eleven-month programme, the project enhanced traffic flow and safety while safeguarding existing gas and sewerage infrastructure.
Scope of works
- Reconstruction of pavement layers along the final section of the Masafi-Fujairah Road (approximately 8.640 km)
- Construction of 2 new roundabouts and 3 traffic signal installations
- New 2.7 km single carriageway with a 4.00 m carriageway width
- Culvert extension, guardrail installation, and road furniture placement
- Installation of roadway lighting, drainage infrastructure, and uPVC duct works
- Protection provisions for existing gas and sewerage lines
