Landside Road Network Construction

National Contracting delivered the civil and infrastructure works for the landside road network serving Abu Dhabi Airports, executing the project to the exacting standards required of an operational airport environment. The scope integrated storm drainage and irrigation pipelines with extensive relocation of existing electrical and lighting infrastructure, including medium-voltage cabling. Completed within an eight-month programme, the works underscore NCTC's capability to coordinate complex utility relocations alongside new network installation without disrupting airport operations.
Scope of works
- Storm drainage network: supply and installation of UPVC pipes and curb inlets
- Irrigation pipeline: supply and installation of PVC and HDPE pipes
- Relocation of existing lighting poles, lighting cables and electrical boards
- Removal and salvage of lighting cables
- Relocation of existing medium-voltage cable
- Supply and installation of four 160mm duct banks with conduits, counterpoise wire, concrete and associated civil works
