South Airfield Development and Rehabilitation — Abu Dhabi Airport
Abu Dhabi Airports Company · Abu Dhabi, UAE
National Contracting delivered the comprehensive rehabilitation of the south runway 13R-31L and its connecting taxiways for Abu Dhabi Airports Company, executing complex airside civil works to demanding international aviation standards. The AED 811,290,000 programme encompassed full runway pavement reconstruction, an integrated Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) system tied into existing infrastructure, and complete drainage and stormwater networks across the airfield. Completed over 20 months under the supervision of Jacobs International Holdings, the project restored the runway strip to certified operational condition while enabling new low-visibility taxiway routing between the north and south airside facilities.
